Your professional head shot is the first most crucial element of an artist career and is likely to be the only impression a casting director will have of you.

If you unsure about modeling, don't know how to. We will coach and teach you how to model as you are modeling.  If you just want a modeling portfolio to capture your beauty while you can.

People in the business also call a portfolio is called a “Book”.What Do I Need in a Porfolio?

The standard shots include a head shot, a full body shot in some fashion (usually taken in a swim suit), and a close up shot (can be shot indoors or outdoors with ambient light and with little or no makeup) at the very least.  Usually you want to include some sort of artistic shot as well.  There is no fast set rule either about whether the images should be black and white or color, so you might want to use a mix.

Image Print Size:
Usually 8 x 10 or 9 x 12.  Bigger is better.  Prints are not included. They are ordered separately.

Only the absolute best should go into your portfolio, and you want to limit the number to a reasonable amount, such as something between eight and twenty photos tends to be considered optimal.  No time? Don’t know what to get?  We can put together your portfolio for you..!

What are Comp Cards?

Another related question has to do with composite cards commonly known as comp cards. These are usually 6x9" cards with a headshot on the front. Flip it over and you'll see anywhere between 4 to 6 images on the back along with the model's statistics.

 

For your Comp or Zen card to show your range, you will need a head shot, body shot, 3/4 body, fashion, dress or suit, casual attire, swimsuit or work out, or fashion implied nude images. We retouch the first 5 images and others at your request. Bring your favorite music CD to keep your energy going?

Head Shots and Comp Card Images: Indoor Studio Only

3 hour session. 10 to 15 usable images. 8 images fully retouched
